About me
Hello! I have been an attorney for nearly 30 years and love practicing law and helping others. I graduated from UCLA with a Bachelor of Arts in English. During college I had the wonderful opportunity to spent a year abroad in Madrid where I became fluent in Spanish. After college I went to law school and graduated from Temple University Beasley School of Law in Philadelphia.
The early part of my career was punctuated by frequent moves across the country with my husband who was an officer in the Navy. I was a homeschool mom for my two daughters for many years, and I absolutely remember how busy life is with a young family. And as a Navy wife I unfortunately saw first hand that misfortune with injury and incapacity and even death happens when it is least expected. I also know that when we're young and healthy it's common to push aside essential tasks -- like ensuring our loved ones are protected if something happens to us.
In my practice, many of the parents I encounter have often thought about but haven't yet taken the steps to create a will or designate a guardian for their children. Understandably it’s a sensitive topic, and finding the time and resources can be challenging. Plus, there’s often a misconception that estate planning is only for those with significant wealth. The truth is, estate planning is for anyone who has their own thoughts about to whom their money should go if they were to pass on, and who they would want to care for their children. Without a will the state of Texas will instead step in and tell you, and it may not align with your own wishes.
As both a mother and an attorney, I recognize the unique legal needs of families. Regardless of your financial situation, comprehensive estate planning is crucial to safeguard your wishes and protect your loved ones. It’s incredibly rewarding for me to assist parents in creating plans that offer them peace of mind.
I understand the demands on your time and finances. That’s why my firm offers flexible communication options including secure online portals to accommodate your schedule. By operating primarily online, I’m able to minimize overhead costs and provide top-notch legal services at reasonable rates. Let’s work together to secure your family’s future!
